There are many IPs out there that just fell off the map from games that were overlooked, sold poorly or just never got a sequel. Lets stick to IPs that are 10 years or older since anything less isn't that old or out of memory yet.

One game series I would like to see brought back is SCUD The Disposable Assassin. It was a nice 2D Side-Scroller from Sega.

As for PC IPs, maybe Heavy Gear 2 and Battlezone 2. Kinda on the edge of the 10 year mark.

Syndicate and Shadowrun would be my top picks, I love me some cyberpunk and those worlds were awesome.

X-Wing or Wing Commander would be good too, I miss space action games.

A nice isometric action RPG with coop like Secret of Mana with online support and modern graphics (still 2D, just prettier) would be awesome.

Lastly No One Lives Forever... Cate Archer needs to come back (and be sexed up).

No One Lives Forever

Scorched Earth

Rise of the Triad

Commnder Keen

There's my choices.

Elite, Wing Commander, X-Fighter and basically all other proper space opera games.
There is simply ridiculous amount of power in new GPUs which could be used to create an incredible experience for such a focused games.

Little Big Adventure
Jurassic Park: Trespasser (yes i know it was horrid but id love to see a proper JP game)
Mechwarrior (but as a proper mech sim non of that 3rd person xbox bs...)
Mechcommander (1st was great 2nd sucked as it was dumbed down way to much)
Crimson Skies (love the alternate history yet another IP M$ managed to kill by xboxing it....)
legacy of kain/soul reaver
Duke ;)

nooo tdr was 2000 I think. But yep. Real carmageddon sequel is required!

Definitely NOLF

Mech Warrior, though it is being revived but somehow I doubt to its former glory

Mech Commander, awesome game had some cool tactics and fun multiplay, never got into Mech Commander 2 though it didn't seem nearly as good.

sigh, Some people can't read... NOLF2 released in 2002, Last Legacy of Kain released in 2004 and Shadowrun was revived in 2007...

01-03-10, 01:06 PM
NOLF2 was nearly 10 years ago plus it was so good of a game we want more :P

Shadowrun was revived in 2007...

Shut your mouth.

Shadowrun was revived in 2007...

MS put nails in the IPs coffin with that game, not revived it.

System Shock (last game 1999). I'd guess today it would be made a console game like Bioshock though. I don't really like Bioshock.

-Trespasser(It wasnt horrid it was GREAT! I still have it. I think its first game to have physics

I also have it somewhere on the attic and it did have advanced physics for that time. Seamus Blackley was behind it, a physics expert once at Looking Glass doing Flight Unlimited.

In order of wantitude :)

System Shock
Descent Freespace (not normal Descent, GRRR)
Carmageddon (I think there was a 3rd released in the last 10 years but meh, it was crap apparently)

Thief would be right up there since only the first two where any good, but I just found that Thief 4 is in the works. High hopes :)

Iranian game devs will soon be releasing:

"Honey i Scud the Yids!" ;)

01-04-10, 05:17 AM
Like it has been mentioned before:

System Shock
Another World (hell, yeah!)

Plus some others:

Resident Evil 2 (we really deserve a remake for it, the best game in the RE series)
Navy Moves
