There can't be any correct figures if the clocks aren't finalized yet :). Only just over a week now though.

I think the odds clocks aren't finalized yet are very, very low. Eight days till launch and there's still a manufacturing detail to take care of? Doubt it.

It can't be true. This Fermi logo looks fancy :D

The GTX 480 according to donanimhaber.com

I have a feeling thats it ;) the heatpipe looks tacky and unfinished if you ask me.

What a fiasco :headexplode: I just hope these things kick some a$$.

Is NV scared of Fermi being not fast enough?

So the GTX 480 will indeed have the full 512 cores. I'm still not sure what to think about the 295W TDP though, I cannot believe that somehow... if it really is that high, the GTX 480 will have to be closer to the HD 5970 than 5870 (in current games, not synthetic benchmarks).

I'm eager to see the real numbers too. I'm a little tired of the speculation and drama. Guess we will see soon.

The card has 3.2 billion transistors according to the donanimhaber.com article o.O (HD 5870 = 2.15 billion transistors, so GTX 480 has ~50% more transistors ) I know transistors is not something to compare but still, 50% more transistors ...
If 5-15% overall performance gain over HD5870 is all ... then nvidia has lost this battle in my eyes :/ Ok, it will be fastest single GPU but that TDP is way to high imo :/ !

-> I'm hoping that Nvidia is holding back it's true potential and that the launch driver will make it spread it's wings :) If it's at least more than 25% faster than HD5870, I'll buy otherwise, no way :( !

If it was 25% + faster I think we would know by now....don't ya think ;)

That was the limit I set to replace my 5870s...I said to my self " if its 25% + then I'll do it ".

Also with the TDP being that high, no way will I be able to go Tri SLi....guess I'll wait and see what the dual GPU's bring.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed if this is true :(

I'm still hoping but I guess from the looks of it, it's not looking good for the green team :(

I'm an nvidia fan, so I'm probably gonna skip this round if all the leaks turn out to be true because no way I'm gonna pay for a card that costs more than HD5870, only performs overall 5-15% better and consumes nearly 100 Watts more... If it was overall at least 25%+, ok I'd buy it.

*crosses fingers for the launch*

as I stated before any benchmark informtion we have seen thus far are BS, just sit back and watch the real reviews in a couple of weeks (popcorn)

I don't think that 2x480s will out perform my set up :( and I don't have enough power for 3 if the TDP is correct.

i wonder were it all went wrong ive always bought nv cards but this time im gonna sit out this round and just go for anew setup instead of gettin 2 of these cards.looks like my 2x 280 gtx,s will have to do until i see what tickles my fancy with the dual cards...

If the prices are true, that's a big jump in price from the 470 to the 480. I can't imagine how they could justify it. I'm still taking all this with a large pinch of salt. But the 5870 has been looking better and better every time a bit of news lands. I just hope it's all BS. I really want it to be worth all this waiting.

I wouldn't worry about that, the VR-Zone slide is fake apart from the picture.

295 watts,3.2 billion transistors and only 5~10% faster overall than the HD5870?

Ouch if it's true.

Looks real to me...has a NV watermark plus everything's correct.

Guy reviewing the card said so. The only thing real is apparently the picture.

The only thing that could possibly be incorrect in that slide is the TDP.

Think my thermaltake 1200 tough power will handle three 480's, Got three 280's now, but what is the 280's tdp. Just found out it's 236 watts,

Could be :) I still can't believe that 5-15% is the only performance gain over HD5870 while it consumes nearly 100Watts more :/ Fermi is a complete new architecture so a new driver could unleash much more potential and that's what I'm hoping for atm :p *fingers crossed*

edit: Also, I think if I were someone important from nvidia and I was late with my product while the enemy has good cards already and already had some time to architect new ones, I wouldn't want them to know much about my new product and what's the best way to not let them know how good (or how bad xD) they are ? --> By using an unoptimized driver, that way they can already launch the cards -> The internet gets filled with "fake" leaks and when it's launch day, they install the new drivers and .... ---> Just a theory offcourse :p But I really do not see it impossible, nvidia is very good @ drivers + this is a complete new architecture. Could be bad 2 offcourse, but we'll see I guess :p

And supposedly is 58% larger (http://www.behardware.com/news/10814/photos-of-the-gf100.html), memory bus is 50% wider and has 50% more memory. In my opinion 5-15% after 6 months would be a fail for Nvidia with these high GPU and memory costs. Lets hope this is not the case.
