View Full Version : Great Indie Gaming Pick: depict1

This is a wonderful short game that seems to get a little better on a day by day basis.

Seriosuly, 3 days ago this was version 0.94 and sinse then its been updated twice to version 1.0 now THAT'S what i call quick developer feedback.

Created by Kyle Pulver (with Alec Holowka providing the ditties), depict1 is a platformer which will hurt your head lots, but probably also make you smile too. An unknown announcer barks orders at you, which you need to follow... maybe. The whole game is pretty much an incredible mind-bork. Put it this way - you're asked to 'Press Nothing to Start', then told the arrows keys will control your character, which a second later you'll realise is a complete fabrication.

VVVVVV is a bit better than this but this is still good, it put a smile on my face the first time i played through it.

Also I'm going to give Cave Story a play through for the first time tonight, many consider it the best free indie game ever made. It sure looks the part.
