Molex Switch

I'd like to be able to control power to four hard drives via a switch (instead of plugging/unplugging manually to the HDs all the time). IDE cables are no porblem as they're always connected in my case.

It looks like I could make my own easily enough by using reed switches (http://store.yahoo.com/directron/reedswitch.html). However, if there's anything out there pre-made I'd prefer that (something like a fan bus but for the full four wire molex connectors instead). I'm not having luck googling so far tonight.

U could use a fan baybus. Most of em use those reed switches that are either on or off.

Oh...well I thought that by the way the fan bus connectors looked that they weren't four-wire. I'm *very* green, though, when it comes to electrical/wiring knowledge.

Your best bet would be to install 2-3 two-way switches in the 5.25 inch front cd rom cover. That is really easy to do.

Well 2 way switch is an on/off switch
I bet u can get it at radio shock
Just follow the tutorial that u linked us to before.
