In my case yes, completely screwed up my 5.1 sound setup, reverted back to 2.78's and all is well.

So would you recomend the 2.78's as the best nForce2 driver currently? (Me Barton 2500+ & PC3200 are coming on Thursday, I'll be putting an MSI K7N2-L in Bubbles. :D )

Yea I think so for now, also use the IDE sw drv from this release w/ no issues.

Matty how are those 2.90's?

And where might one obtain these 2.90 drivers?

I'm using these 3.44s and they work just fine for me. In fact, audio seems to work a bit better, more clear sounding on my music files.

Im using 2.41, and have been since they were released. People complained about corruption but I havent had any problems like that.

I want some new drivers but www.nforcershq.com wont work for some reason. Where else can I go for Nforce drivers?

Yay!
I found the 2.90s in 2 different places:
http://drivers.jasonwhite.com/

BUT... read this thread at AMDMB... appearently this guy had some issues (there is another link for the drivers there too):

http://www.amdforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=238981&highlight=nforce+2.90+driver

I guess these were released by Epox and arent official.

EDIT: Dont use these! So far, everything ive read about them is bad. Some people even had to reformat. STAY AWAY.

hahaha, dont you hate that?

The day my replacement video card was supposed to arrive, I was waiting by the TV for that SOUND... you know the SOUND. The rumble of that big crappy, rattling UPS truck...

I heard it.. BUT IT DROVE BY!!!!! OH NOO!!!! Luckily, it dropped the package off on the way back. That was when I found out that I had a 5600 256Mb card :D
