That's quite a coupe for NVidia, if they are managing to convince long time ATI card makers to switch over to them as well.

But then I also think it's a really good idea because it means the manufacturers are becoming independant and that means that prices will fall as they set the competition between themselves.

Well, considering that lots of long time nvidia manufacturers went over to ATI in the past year it's really not that surprising that we're seeing more demand for nvidia products again.

But then I also think it's a really good idea because it means the manufacturers are becoming independant and that means that prices will fall as they set the competition between themselves.

I doubt we'll see lower prices. These companies all price fix and charge close to MSRP. We're also seeing new cards become more and more expensive :(
