I'm using a pretty unheard of motherboard (EQS PM-K911A-ASO) which supports AGP4x and Atholon processors through VIA KT-133.I'm using an Athlon 1.1Ghz with 128 Ram.

Are there any known issues around this board and the geforce fx5200 ultra?

I was trying to intall this on mandrake linux, but after having tried it on my win98 partition, even that throws up an error during driver install (updating registry).

I've tweaked the XFConfig-4 file and even uncompressed and compiled the driver itself, but still no joy.

I can only think that something funny is going on with hardware here.

Does anyone have any idea of this, as I can take the board back to the shop?

However, if it is possible, then I'd rather make it work...

Dude, we have a Linux forum. Or did you not notice it on the main page or the big sticky note at the top of this particular NVIDIA forum?

I have posted to the linux forum, but I did state in my post that I can't install it on my win98 partition.

My question was relevant to hardware, not just linux.
