Oh by the way, because I can't find this on the forums anywhere even though it's a major bug and a major screw up by NVIDIA. Guess their drivers aren't as great, at least ATI never fried my video card.

Sorry had to post it, just saying that both companies screw up. ATI has done a very good job lately with making working reliable drivers. At least for me they have. NVIDIA does to but this proves that they can screw up.

Wow...

I downloaded them but didn't install them.

Into the trash they go. :p

I was still waiting on the new 3D drivers. So I never got these installed either. Lucky by the sounds of it.

I've been using them for 3 days. Even played SCII and everything was fine. I've switched to the previous WHQL just to be sure, but it seems weird, that only people playing SCII would notice that.

People playing BFBC2 also noticed it as well.

It seems its any game that pushes the gpu that causes this...so it make sense why those games would kill/overheat the gpu.

Hopefully this will finally end the argument that NVidia's drivers are superior to ATI's.;)

Just because Toyota currently has to recall millions of cars because of defective gas pedals, that doesn't mean their cars aren't still superior in reliability as compared to Peugeot for example ;)

Depends in the case of NVIDIA I would have been out a little money if it fried my Vid card but I probably would have been pissed and maybe tried the other guys for a while. Same with Toyota except you can't really compare that to NVIDA. I won't buy a Toyota for a long while now, we're talking a life and death screw up. People have died because of this, this wasn't your typical screw up, can't compare.

My point is this isn't the first time NVIDIA has put out bad drivers, nor will it be the last. Both companies have had their issues, I don't really truly think you can say one is better than the other. One may be better than the other for a time but it switches. I like both companies and have had hits and misses on both. Can't say that I've had more misses with one company or the other truly too.

i would never buy toyota, because of the death killer. a few people are already dead around here because of the peddles, and it was a 2010 and a few 2001s, they should just close the doors because i think its the end for them. okok i do have to say that if the peddle thing never happend, they are great cars, i mean look at the new FT-86 coming out, its hot
