A quick check on an HIS 5970 card specs on the egg below....

650 Watt or greater power supply one 75W 6-pin and one 150W 8-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (850 Watt with two 75W 6-pin and two 150W 8-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX technology in dual mode)

So what about the new GFxxx's? Any specs on a minimum required psu for those?

I had an OCZ 1000w psu and it didn't last a year (thank God I didn't pay anything for it, it was given to me brand new in the box by my boss). Maybe I was just unlucky but I know I won't be taking a risk by getting another OCZ psu ever again. I bought a Corsair 750W psu to replace it.

I don't think they make them anymore.

I've got nothing against OCZ, but I would go with Corsair too.

Finally got my system back up and running, The PSU is really top notch, More connectors than you can shake a stick at and really quite .. My only(very small)issue with this PSU is the power leads/wires, Becasue they are so long and theres so many its a bit of a pain with wire management ... Think i done a pretty good job in the end though.

Yep, get a corsair.

I've used one and it was very solid and ran cool despite being a 400W unit powering an overclocked Core 2 Duo and a Radeon 4870.

My OCZ has been absolutely flawless after several years of constant use, but if I were to buy a new one right now I'd get a Corsair with a single large 12v rail.

Good choice on the Corsair and especially on the model you got. ;)
What is this problem with wire management you speak of?
