I had some weird issues with video playback using a EVR renderer, rolled back to 196.21 for the time being.

Interesting. It says these fix the fan issue with the 196.75 drivers that were recently pulled. It seems to be the same set, just fixed. Also, it says they are a WHQL candidate.

Hows Metro 2033 with these?

why are they bothering with a beta and not just rereleasing the whql? just because they have to wait a while to get the approval?

PhysX performance is a bit lower with these. 10500 points on fluidmark with 196.21 agains 9600 with these.

Hows Metro 2033 with these?

driver is identical to 196.75, apart for the g92 third party fan fix. so just like previous driver everything runs great.

oh ok :(

Thought it was the magic driver that would give 30FPS more to the game. :o

These drivers have broken 120hz in a very weird way on my Iiyama HM903DT, nv 8500 GT

1024x786@120hz is my normal setting for FPS games, it's not entirely uncomon for a new driver to need the image to be moved/scaled a little again, but normally that alters the black border around the image, with these drivers the border stays the same, and the image is being squished, and the monitor settings dont reach far enough to actually get all the image visible. a good inch or so of the image at 1024x168 is missing from both sides.

The driver seems fine at higher or lower refresh rates, only 120hz is messed up :(#

dragging windows around there is noticeable distortion at the screen edges.

First time I've ever seen anything like this with WHQL or beta drivers for any of the nvidia cards I've had with this monitor.

EDIT: Bah, totally stripped out these drivers and tried the 196.34 beta's, they have the same problem, only at 120hz.

Tried the 195.81 betas rather than going back to the last WHQL and they are fine, it's only all the 196 series messed up so far.

This is still the case with this new build, that makes every single 196.xx driver and now 197.xx too :(

start using problem DVI/HDMI cable instead of old VGA cable and it will never happen again.

I had a slight stutter every 10 secs with these drivers. Game ran great otherwise, but the stuttering was getting me killed. Only way to fix it was to disable SLI with nhancer, dunno whats going on.
