Perhaps in Germany it is. Over here in the states, Multi-GPU is very popular, and you can find testing in every review.

Nothing like living your life in a vacuum...

I COULD NOT HEAR YOUR ARGUMENT OVER HOW AWESOME OUR HEALTH CARE PLAN IS.

scnr

It is a good idea to exclude MGPU from reviews because reviews help people decide what to buy and the disadvantages of MGPU are hard to show/explain in a review although very obvious and most people just look at the bars and will be disappointed later.

That's your opinion. In my opinion, you're wrong. And since both Nvidia and ATI design multi-GPU cards, well, that doesn't help your case much, either.

But let's keep this thread on topic and about the release of Fermi. I love these launch days.

Looking at putting four 480s on a Rampage III along with a gulftown (all supplied by sponsors of course). My friends at Danger Den are making a sweetest blocks for it so I will have a full set nickle-plated:

FULL metal block (top and bottom) with channels machined in each side. I was there when the block was being designed ;)

The problem as I see it with full-cover waterblocks for gpus is that they only fit one type of card. They are pretty expensive as well, meaning you'll have to buy new ones every time you upgrade. Plus they reduce the flow-rate much more than a regular core-block. Love the fact that both camps have taken this into consideration when designing the cooling solutions for the 5850(the cooler on the 5870 must be hardmodded) and GTX 480.

Not if you're sponsored. ;)

Nice to see that DD is nickel plating now. :)

Are you sure that rampage 3 supports 4-way sli? The previews i read only mentions 2-way and 3-way sli connector in the package.

I don't like to see the waste of old blocks not being able to be resued but then again I also like to see my friends at Danger Den be able to make a living so I am of two minds on the issue.

I'm in two minds about this, too. So some advice if you can :). I got an EK VGA Supreme universal block for the 260 because full blocks aren't available for the 192sp any more. Would you say the same block would do for the Fermi, along with ramsinks for the other chips, or would you say a full block is needed?

You know, Took off today and this event is starting to become really frigging cool to wait for. Piece by piece things are starting to be revealed. I don't care if I have an ati card or not. This is really a cool time to be into pc gaming gear. DX 11 with support from both sides!! consoles be damned!! You Rock NV and ATI!!:p

It has nothing to do with the Rampage it has to do with Nvidia. I found out no 4 way with single cards so I will do tri. Asus wants 4 way as well ;)

I'm sure in time Nvidia will make drivers to support it. Hell, just think of the revenue they will make. :D
