Any driver 28.90 or higher should work fantastic with your gf3. You would really have to to check different version yourself to see if you experience any problems on your system, and to see which drivers work best with the games you play.

For GeForce4 and lower cards, the "best driver" is the one that offers the most bug-free gaming experience. There's no point in holding out for a new driver that will offer some magical performance increase. Just download a few sets, experiment with them and find out which works best for you. Everyone's mileage will vary - what works for me may not work for you.

43.51 worked great for me in UT2k3, which is what I played the most with my GF3.

Yeah, so it probably was doing the cheat.

YOUR POINT? It makes it run quite a bit faster, and on a GF3, that's very helpful.

Well I test pretty much ever driver that comes out on my gf3, and I must say, I dont really notice much difference in performance between the different versions. I think it was the 41.xxs or 42.xx set of drivers that ran the NFS:HP2 demo really badly, currently im using the 44.65s, RavenShield looks damn nice and runs very very well.
