I'm getting playback issues on a few codecs with these drivers. Namely the EVR codec, i lost 400 marks on 3Dmark Vantage and performance in BC2 seems to have taken a small hit. :(

Might revert later.

Thank god I am not the only one who is affected by this driver. BC2 was running fine on the last drivers. With these drivers it took a pretty noticeable hit. I am going back to the old drivers until Nvidia gets their crap together.

First these bad performing drivers and then we get FERMI. Maybe Nvidia isn't "FER-MI" anymore. 5870 here I come.

There is another annoying issue with BFBC2 and this driver. If you enable 3D Vision in the nVidia Control panel, run Battlefield without 3D (press Ctrl-T to turn it off), all of the player icons and names etc 'float' about and you sometimes can't tell if a player is friendly or not (because his icon and name are about 5 inches away from him on-screen).

This also happens if you play the game in 3D.

The only way to fix the issue is to completely disable 3D Vision in the Control panel.

I'm not having any issues with these, I didn't with the 196.75 "bad set" either. I do have a GTX 285 though, not a G92.

While these recent drivers may run fine for games, it seems that everything from the 195s and up have issues with non-game related stuff. The biggest problem I have is if I try to play WoW on my main monitor, and watch a DVD on my second monitor, any driver that is 195.xx and up causes a complete system crash within about 10 mins. I've tried making sure my codecs are up to date, and other things. 191.07s work absolutely fine performing the same task. Also, the 196.xx and up are flakey as hell when it comes to handling more than one monitor. I'll come out of sleep mode, or alt tab from a full screen application, and sometimes programs that were running on my second monitor will jump over to my main monitor, or the driver will switch the position of my second monitor to the other side of my main monitor, not to mention the multiple flashes it does when coming out of said modes.. just weird, flakey, intermittent behavior. Basically 195.xx and up are pretty much crap if you're doing something other than just singularly playing games.

Edit: Oh.. i'm running an 8800GTX, Vista Home Basic 64bit, 4GB DDR2, Intel DP35DP board, Antec 650W PS

Yeah, running a 8800gtx here and vid playback using EVR is completely broken with these drivers. I switched the media player classic output to the haali renderer which works for now.

Did anyone notice these drivers not clocking back down in 2d? These are doing that for me on my GTX 275. I even took the overclock off and they are constantly running at full 3d speed even at the desktop which makes them run hotter.
Also I set the fan speed at 74% and when I check GPU Z it says it is running at 82%. Everything I set it to in the Nvidia control panel shows up about 10% in GPU Z.

I am downloading 197.25 now to see if this fixes the problem.

Edit: Downloaded 197.25 and had the same problem. I uninstalled everything including Nvidia Performance Tools (had trouble uninstalling it but finally got it) then reinstalled 197.13 and now everything is working properly. Well except GPU Z still shows 82% fan speed when it is set at 74% in the Nvidia control panel with the Nvidia Performance Tools but no big deal.
