I just thought this was amusing:

Bioware thread on an issue with the spacebar not working: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/106/index/779091/1

Ends up it does not work right if you play with less than 10fps, which many people on there seem to be doing. Playing Mass Effect 2 on ancient laptop cards like a 6150 that weren't even gaming cards when they came out, getting 4fps, then complaining Bioware needs to "fix" the issue.

Hilarious.

Any people wonder why PC Games aren't taking advantage of high end hardware...

You can sometimes find gems like this in the MW2 and Battlefield steam forums.

Loved the comment about no stuttering or lag and fraps shows 7fps. ;)
But yeah, some time ago there were games with framerates on near 1-2SPF.. (on c64. ;))

How can you even play a game at sub 10fps? Half of those guys are playing the game on much lower spec graphics cards than minimum at much higher resolution than they should be.

I LOL at the guy who read the spec and decide things like 9100 card is better than 8800 card. Then proceed to tell the dev their game sucks. As usual PC gaming biggest enemy is the PC gamers. If only everyone was as perfect as me.

BTW I just upgraded my old 260 SLI setup with a bitching 850XT Crossfire setup from ATI. ATI from recent benchmarks seems fast and 850 > 260. Easy math doods.

A master race of cloned craigners is truly PC gaming's only hope.

I also just tossed my 5850 in the trash and ordered a 7950GX2! You know because 7950>5850. :retard:

This really shows that the current naming scheme of gpus doesn't work. Think ATI and NVIDIA should rename all of their older cards to better fit in with the newer series. While they can't change the boxes they can change the name in the drivers and have retailers sell them under that name.

My Geforce FX 5900 Ultra beats the 5870 by "30".

I remember back when Far Cry came out I asked one dude how was his FX 5200 handling it, he said that it ran smooth as silk... :D

There were 5200s out there that could handle that game. Most of them couldn't though.

I'm going to post random favorites for those who don't read the thread.

Here's one:

EDIT: Just tried replaying part of the final mission at 800x600 fullscreen after modifying the video settings a bit and managed to get the fps to stay between 10 and 15 and the problem went away. Not as pretty as playing 1200x800 but it makes biotic classes a lot more fun.

The game is a lot more fun at the fluid fps of 10-15!

Man, Even I couldn't manage to play at that frame rate... at that level its worth getting the X360 version.

All these people should be playing the console version.

Problem is that I bet they are PC Die hard gamers. Its funny, I bet they also complain about the game being poorly coded or bugged because its consolized aswell. :p

Seriously, PC Hardcore Gamers need to realize, consoles aren't holding the platform back, poeple like this are.

It almost makes me wonder if some of the posts are from kids. I know there are some kids out there that are way smarter than me when it comes to PC's, but generally I would believe that a kid would be the more likely age group. Although, there are some adults that don't know much about PC's, my friend is one of them, if I wasn't there to help my friend out then he wouldn't be playing PC games and just be playing with consoles.

That thread is just beyond hilarious and sad at the same time.

Here's another gem from that thread:

AMD Dual Core 2.30 GHz w/nvidia 6150se /3.00 GB of ram. Fps is 8. Ok, I did the 640x480, closed every program, jumped into windowed mode and shut down every option in the graphics menu and the nividia option menu. It worked! Then I get to a place (still in the first mission, Lab and Two guys are with me) where there's a computer, something on the floor I'm suppose to hack and another circuit board on the wall/door - and the blue box blinks once over the code hack thing on the floor and that's it. I can't pick it up. I tried for 3 hours but to no avail. So I'm hopelessly stuck - And quite angry I might add :) It’s hard to believe out of all the bright wonderful people with bioware that someone doesn’t have a solution other than what has already been mentioned.

Freaking Bioware and their horrible programmers... this game should work on a Super Nintendo!

Would be totally awesome to have an htpc inside a SNES!

Doesn't keep him from enjoying the wall-textures though.

I had a friend who had some sort of ancient hand cranked machine, he couldn't even play World of Warcraft above 15 fps, and had to avoid some of the larger cities or the game would crash. Yet he was a really good player.
