So my HD 4850 runs hotter than my 4870. It uses a factory Sapphire single slot cooler. I as going to remove the cooler to check it out and found that the last owner overtightened the four central screws Heck, one of them is kinda stripped now because I've tried so dang hard to get it out (and it looks like the previous owner had boogered it up too). :(
This is the card that I will sell next so I can get a 5830/5850/Fermi Mainstream.
So I need to #1 get those screws out of there (I'm pretty peeved at the previous owner for so harshly cranking on these screws), and then either just replace the screws or replace the cooler itself with something better.
What are some good and inexpensive replacement coolers for a Sapphire 4850?
.... And could I get just screws from anywhere?
I really don't want to sell this card to someone with overtightened screws securing an inefficient cooler.
