although this does smell like april fools and a bad photoshop. look at the pattern of the channels on the heatspreader...
Yeah, that repeating "skinny" panel is giving it away. Maybe. LOL.
atleast make it believable...
The notion of a 512 core 485 is believable, but the photochop kinda ruined it.

I also doubt they'd be able to do it on the 40nm process. Such a clock speed increase and no reduction of cores would probably require a process shrink, or else they'd have done it already.

That extra heatpipe isn't even going to the GPU it's out in nowheresland. Very bad april fools photoshop.
My cat's better than your dog, Prime.
LOL imagine how bad the yields would be on that 485

yields would be small, but provided they would be speed binning, it's more like they have a *few* chips that can run that speed, why not sell them for what they are? (because testing cost to speedbin those few chips would be high).

Yeah but if I duct-taped my cat to the top of my dog, I'd clearly win.

Are the water cooling blocks ready, if yes I will also get two 5990 QuadFire cards. I trust the ATI software team, OctFire should not be any problem.
EDIT
Any more info? Is the card longer than 24 inch? It doesn't look like. That's all I can fit in the CosmosS.

I can't even imagine the power consumption of a 512 core 850mhz. Its for the best we don't find out.
If you hang about long enough, Shadow001 will come and tell you :p

the 'B1' Fermis should be just a few months down the road I think, but I would expect them not to be anything more than the initial targets (512 cores 750 MHz)

Don't know, don't care either,as it's already been more than enough talking about this version of fermi for the past 6+ months,so there's no need to start all over again with what was supposed to be released in the first place...:p
