Letters from Cuban prisoner

I had a discussion recently with someone about the US's major contribution to civilisation (after talking about Ancient Greece, Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, China etc). I pondered for many hours and then came up with the answer - peanut butter (both smooth and crunchy). My co-debater was not amused with the results of my hours of research

The camel spider is the only 10-legged spider in the world and, I believe, it's not an arachnid (technically not a spider). But it grows bigger than human hand-sized and has a bite that causes flesh to decay - if left untreated. In the summer there were plenty here, running into the cells and clambering over people; one person was bitten and had to be treated. Thank God it's winter!

Those were from one of our citizens held there, and hopefully we will get him back over here to face any possible trial by the British courts.

I can't believe that you can instantly dismiss everyone person held in that place as a evil terrorist. Out of all those people held there I would bet my own life some are innocent and are been held for nothing. And yet people just shrug it off and do not care if they are executed for nothing.:confused:

Meh. We produced a damn thing as soon as the news came out that the prisoners, previously declared "illegal noncombatants" and denied the rights they would have received as prisoners of war, were to be tried by military tribunals.

You know, if they are ILLEGAL NONCOMBATANTS, wouldn't that mean that the US is KIDNAPPING people and ILLEGALLY putting them in prison and then UNJUSTLY trying and convicting them in their own courts when it should have been taken care of by the court system of the country where they were fighting?

Sure, there is probably a few of them that haven't done anything that are locked up. So what. There are no court systems that I'm aware of in the entire world that can guarantee 100% accuracy and have never convicted someone wrongly.

Let them rot. I hope the camel spiders put them in a LOT of pain.

And, what would you say if the same thing happened to citizens of a Western country that were taken prisoner because they fought back against an invading force? Some of them may very well have been forced to fight, and like it or not, this "America above anything else" bull**** just makes it look like greedy arrogant fools to the rest of the world.

In ten or fifteen years, when despite every war Bush Jr. will ever cause, there will be terrorists with nuclear arms, and they're going to be looking for a little payback.

If these citizens of a western country were taken prisoner because they were fighting for terrorists or those that aided terrorists, let them rot as well. Forced to fight, what a load of crap.

If they get nuclear weapons and use them, then I think we should visit the favor back upon them in spades. Let them glow in the dark, the pigs.

I'll be the first person (ok, 2nd) to say that was wrong. He should've been shot. His parents damn near should've been shot as well seeing as they were still sending him money over there when they had some idea how crazy he was getting. Idiots...

I can't blame the parents... he is their flesh and blood after all :)

but I just put that as an example of how our justice system works... look what happened to him... look what has happened to numerous other people v/s whom there is little or no evidence that they are terrorists... but who remain in custody till today...

His parents are the marin county village idiots.

If they were picked up in the battlefield and were fighting alongside the taliban against our troops, then they should die. That's all the evidence I need. Further, their remains should be encased in pork fat and buried in a landfill to rot. Yes, I think no mercy should be spared those that fought alongside the taliban. Pigs, all of them.
