I made the best experiences with my 5900 Ultra using the 44.67 WHQLed driver.

I'm using the 44.67 performance drivers from StarStorm. He "filled in" so to speak for Omega in terms of driver modding, except that StarStorm's drivers don't suck. Even though these are suited for benchmarking, IQ is pretty good and performance is great. I get consistent performance at 1280x1024, QuincuxAA and 4x aniso in UT2003.

I don't have a direct link to the drivers, but start in the Guru3D forum (http://www.guru3d.com/forum)
