Wow, those are almost as good as the build I made two years ago, and cost more than twice as much.
But yay for mac users, their overpriced computers will now be able to play two more old games.

I built up a $13,000+ Mac with their online builder and it came with a top of the line 4870 with 512mb. Yes, an HD 4870. Oh, and NO display. Sure it had 8tbs of storage and about $400 worth of memory, but damn, what massive robbery. If you add all the accessories and software it's up past $20,000 and it still has the same gimp 4870.
Luckily the government hasn't mandated that I buy one yet.
Another program for Apple Care to blame when OSX crashes or slows to a near hault.
I don't get why it must slow them down, havent they heard of hiring more people when you take on a new project/market? Besides, how many people does it take to upgrade/test a freakin full tower high end computer line?

now that its possible to install osx on standard PC components with not that much of effort, i hope people stop buying their desktops. they are robbing people blind.
While the Magic Mouse (with glide tapes) is perfect for just about everything. It'll be useless for gaming. Because you can't make two actions at once.
But a G9 or something like that will work just fine :)
How can you even use the magic mouse?
There is no support for my hand when using it. I feel like I'm going to get carpal tunnel if I use it for any extended period of time.
It's not even form over function. It's freaking idiocy over common-sense. :thumbdwn:
-edit-
Nice and timely article.

Windows > Ubuntu > OS X for gaming.
Windows > Linux > OS X for gaming.
Fixed for you. :)
Fixed for you. :)
Nice :)
But the article was specifically Win 7, Ubuntu, OS X :D
Thanks for playing (nana2)
Valve announced the Linux version too. Hopefully, it will follow soon. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2250308#post2250308
Well done Valve. This is what you truly call cross-platform gaming and not the **** the others try and do. cough* GFWL cough*
EDIT: It's still a rumour.

The default games install dir in ~/Documents is nuts. I need to figure out a way to change that.
I don't want the games on my SSD.
I won't be able to download and try this out until I get home but it looks like the OSX Steam crowd might just be you and I, slawter.

for the price of that **** u linked to you can get yourself a decent self built pc unlike that relic that is in your sig and run games at higher than HD resolutions on a big pc monitor and in 3D if thats your thing:D
So it looks like Steve Jobs' didn't demand his cut on the Steam games and only allow Valve to sell ones he says. :spank: (drunk) :D
