As title says whats been the most violent vomit inducing game of recent years? I cant really remember any since the SOF 1 & 2 days the gore was awesome, even classic games such as kingpin, and severance had a strong element of gore in them. although talking about recent games metro 2033 has some pretty explicit levels of gore in it, you can mash peoples faces up in with knifes, bullets, and grenades.

So my vote would have to go with metro 2033, then Dead space... and then AVP, It makes me wonder though wheres all these gory games gone? Is it simply developers have been forced to cut out gory material in their games.

even older games on the consoles had some pretty cool gore and effects in, like the older resident evil's and now with developers such as ID removing gore from their games, which is uncharacteristic of them. it makes wonder where these type of games are heading and if we will see anymore of these classic gore ridden ultra violent games released again.

Its not that I crave gore its just nice too see something different now and then, and im curious whats happened to them, will we be seeing these type of games released in 2011, or later this year? is this simply new laws to blame or are developers simply too cautious to step over the line incase the game gets banned in certain regions.

They may not be the most realistic games but Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3 and Borderlands are pretty gory.

Mostly arcade gore though. People just kind of come apart in big chunks or vaporize all together.

Fallout 3 I would say... flying heads and eyeballs in slow-motion.

Manhunt 2

Manhunt 2 was banned here, some kid went on rampage and said the game inspired him to do so. So as you can imagine the game was promptly taken off the shelfs and subseqently banned from sale. the media had a field day with it and was all over prime time news.

Anyone caught selling it could either lose their license or would be summoned to court.

I miss gore especially in FPS military style shooter games. Sure, you still get gore in horror FPS games like Dead Space and L4D but nothing in Battlefield games.

COD:World at War had a little gore which was a welcomed sight. I just wish that Battlefield Bad Company 2 had gore--a headshot should cause a gory :headexplode:

Wow, yeah those are pretty damned violent... though they're basically just cut scenes and quick time events.

Well yeah but there all in engine. Even the gameplay has tons of violence, just harder to show off here since their during combat (like ripping a harpies wings off or stabbing a minotaur in the head through his mouth).

The games level of violence is off the wall, other games have scenes of great violence but they lack the graphics to truely show it off.
