Neowin (http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=12738&category=main) has a link up to download the latest DirectX update. Supposedly it offers performance and security enhancements. I have it and it hasn't screwed up anything, which is always good.

Be warned, though - this is the redistributable version for all Windows operating systems and weighs in at over 30 mb.
