That's a proper DTR.

I haven't seen any other "notebooks" with a 300W power brick.

The term laptop does not apply to that behemoth.

I'd never get a DTR like that. Just makes no sense :p

If you traveled a lot, it could be very useful. Otherwise it definitely isn't worth it.

I don't see a weight listing though... At 15 - 20lbs it would be 1/2 of your carry on.

Well, definitely not while travelling :p

haha, yeah laptop like that is not for traveling.

even my dell xps m1530 seems to big. laptops should be small and portable.

With the Quadro card, it could be a versatile workstation but in that case I'd rather get an ISV certified Precision workstation from Dell. It would still be lighter and about as fast.

This thing is just ridiculously gargantuan and doesn't appear to have much by way of certified uses.

Yea I don't mean while traveling, but say your work schedule means you'll be stuck in a different hotel for 2 weeks at a time. taking a pc with you isn't feasible, but a laptop might seem slow if you need to do work on it all of the time.

How does the 330M run? Can you play everything at full resolution?
