that pictures makes it look really big, height wise like it would never fit in ATX case.

Damn, the one component in my system that wasn't out of date is now out of date. Shed a tear, e-peen, shed a tear. :(

100A +12v rail? That's kinda good isn't it?

I like how it is fully modular. And looks like you easily hook up for tri sli lovin. Price is suppose to be around $299.99.

the 1000 corsair was modular as well, except few main cables like (ATX power, aux atx power, and two pci-e power leads), those cables don't have to be domular since you will be using them anyway.

I very much like the Corsair PSU's especially the HX series. Can't understand the deal with this 'fully modular' marketing, as specified before the are certain cables that are always requred and id like those to be permanently there and not unpluggable at the PSU, such as the 24 pin power cable.

Nice that it has 90% effiency too.

I was able to compare Zalman 850W directly to Corsair 850W and it was about 3x louder. 1200W beast will be even worse.

That is pretty relevant info ;)

Then say that next time time. Don't post something seemingly unrelated to the topic at hand without giving that sort of context.

Back on topic, I like this new Corsair unit, but it would probably be too big for my Antec Three Hundred case.

I've seen internals of Corsair 850W and Zalman 850W and they were (almost) identical, produced by same third-party OEM supplier for both companies, except for one very important thing - heatpipes in Zalman. Both PSUs thus had same quality / efficiency, while Corsair being much louder. 1000W PSUs from Corsair and Zalman are also identical, except heatpipes in Zalman. So, it makes no sense to buy 850/1000W Corsair. I am not sure about 1200W model though.

Goodness gracious! And here I am still rocking my trusty old Silverstone Zeus 850watt quad rail PSU that about near 5 years ago. :p
