Looks like a very nice system Peter. Keep that power cord close by though. The battery life can't be too good with specs like that.

Quad Core plus a gaming GPU. That doesn't work in a MBP-like form factor. Heat and battery life aren't good enough.

Hmm k, Unless you can fit a 9 cells battery, i don't see how this poor thing would survive any serious gaming for more than 15 minutes.

Put an Apple logo on the Envy and the reviews would be gushing about how they packed so much performance into such a small package, and that the heat was just a minor complaint that a $25 cooling pad would fix.

Well i went fot the HP - It will for the most time be on my desk here at work. I have a Mac book pro 13" for field work. I wanted more power with this HP. And it is very fast indeed.
BFBC2 run great :) - not that is use that @ work but i will take this when i go over to the mates to game :)

It's not about the logo. It's about smart concepts. Highest end performance components and mobile form factors don't mix, it's not smart. HP is about a year too early for a product like that IMO... But I guess the new Envy series sell well because it looks perfect on paper and is pretty cheap.

I agree with Maverick- throw an Apple logo on their and the Apple crowd would be raving about this laptop.

I'm part of the Apple crowd and I don't think this concept is smart ;)

You're in the minority then. :p
