Strasburg allowed just four hits and with his 14 strikeouts surpassed the Nationals' season high. The righty threw 94 pitches, 65 for strikes, and didn't walk a batter. The righty retired his final 10 batters, striking out his last seven.

His curve-ball is ridiculous. Helps that he's also got a 101MPH fast-ball and a 93MPH slider/changeup/whatever that thing was :bleh:

Crazy debut. I'm glad he did well. The Nationals fans were expecting sooooo much from him and he really delivered. Good for him. Hope he has a great career.

Mainly so the Yankees can pick him up in a year or two. :bleh:

Too bad a homer was hit of him on his first night. Just about his only blemish.

Definitely a Stuff pitcher a la Koufax, Sid Fernandez and Nolan Ryan.

Anyone see those 100+ MPH pitches in the 6th and 7th innings? Holy ****.

Plus he's got a wicked 2 seam fastball that tails like a mother****er. I'd hate to face that lol.

It be EASY to face him. When he is on his second strike and you are in the batter's circle, start swinging. You might catch up to his second pitch to you when you are up to bat.

I has stratagemy.

WASHINGTON -- Stephen Strasburg said Friday he was in shock when he learned that he had a significant tear in his ulnar collateral ligament -- an injury that is expected to force to the Nationals right-hander to undergo Tommy John surgery.
