Today we released the first WHQL-certified driver from our new Release 256* family of drivers. I¬*told you¬*about the many new features and performance upgrades¬*in Release 256 (http://blogs.nvidia.com/ntersect/2010/05/introducing-the-new-256-driver-release.html) drivers back in May, when we released the beta version. In today's release, we're also including a great new feature that adds support for 3D Vision Streaming with Silverlight. This capability now allows us to deliver 3D video over the web directly to your web browser. Stay tuned for¬*details on upcoming¬*3D Vision streaming events and websites. The new WHQL-certified version 257.21 can be downloaded here (http://www.nvidia.com/drivers). This driver supports GeForce and ION desktop PCs as well as NVIDIA notebook PCs running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, including those with NVIDIA Optimus (http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimus_technology.html) technology.

Our next Release 256 driver is planned for the end of this month and will support NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-surround-technology.html) technology!

* The Release 256 family of drivers will be released with version numbers from 256.xx to 259.xx. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/nTersect?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/nTersect?a=55R_HOLZhks:SMIa-edNSfo:yIl2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/nTersect?i=55R_HOLZhks:SMIa-edNSfo:V_sGLiPBpWU (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/nTersect?a=55R_HOLZhks:SMIa-edNSfo:V_sGLiPBpWU)

Aren't these the same drivers we've been talking about for the last 2 weeks? If not, have anyone tried these drivers?

They're fine for me without afterburner's fan polling and monitoring. Performance is up in Metro for me, Witcher too.

I can confirm now the afterburner was the problem too, got quite a few hours on this set now and they are stable and look good.

That's all I ask. :)

Yep...I just got through playing some BFBC2, and I had no problems whatsoever.
