COD MW2 which never had a problem, keeps pausing with these. Checking the GPU usage it keeps spiking then drop, then spikes, then nothing.

DPC latency is perfectly fine.

Huzzah! Finally 64-bit 3D Vision Surround drivers. Can't wait to get home and try this out. If I knew about this before coming in to work I would have called out. :D

I was an hour late :o It is AWESOME! I was getting 120 fps steady on a lot of games.

Well, I'm planning on absolutely destroying my setup by attempting to run Metro 2033 on highest in 3D Vision Surround. Single-digit FPS here I come.

I can't even fathom how big of a jump that must be to render all of that. I'd love to see a setup like that in person, but it's probably never going to happen.

Hopefully once all of the bugs get worked out someone will do the ultimate setup. 3 1080p projectors running 3d from 4 way SLI. Decent framerates with enough viewing room for an entire crowd.

You set the profile to not run Adaptive power management? I always set mine to prefer maximum performance. I had that issue in MW2 with a previous set and changing that fixed it.

I'll check, but I always set that to "max perf" and "single display mode" in the drivers.

do these stutter like crazy with rivatuner? I havent been able to use any 256 drivers cause they stutter so bad. Im on 197.77 right now

I reinstalled Windows 7 x64 again, the stutter in COD MW2 is gone but I did not install Afterburner this time. I'm starting to think some of the problems I've seen are with Afterburner (precision / rivatuner are all the same thing). Haven't tried BF BC2 but I'm gonna wait for the patch tomorrow.

It's weird, everytime I try to install a 258 driver It just gives me a blank background. It won't load anything. If I Crtl-Alt-Del all I get is a black screen. Only fix is to go to safe mode and switch back to the 257.21's.

I'm unable to play Metro 2033 at the same settings I used fine with the 257.21s, and this next is an odd one - source based games are launching at 640x480 with every setting at the lowest possible. Not sure if that's due to these drivers or an update to steam though.

I may roll back to the .21s also though.

you need 3 screens for the 3d vision surround

I just tried BF BC2 with the new patch and these drivers and my performance is a little better. At 1920x1200, 8xCSAA, 16x AF with HBAO on, I get an average of 60-70FPS. I rarely drop below 55FPS and I was bursting to about 105FPS. GPU usage was at a constant 70-75% on both my cards. An improvement to say the least. I'm going to throw in a dedicated Physx card later today (ran across a 9600GT for $29 on clearance) just to see what it does to help performance.

BF BC2 doesnt use PhysX.

Well after the patch DX11 is finally playable with GTX 480. Some slight hitches but not unplayable like before. DX10 still smoother though, which is still a disappointment. Hopefully the rest of the dx11 issues can resolved through drivers.

EDIT: DX10, 1680x1050, 32xCSAA, 16xAF, HBAO on, everything maxed. 80-130FPS and smooth!!

Bezel management is great and easy to use with these drivers. I'm currently running my games at 6120x1080. I tested a whole bevy of games last night in 3D Vision Surround and regular Surround. Most games booted up fine, and I just selected the resolution from the graphics options and I was good to go.

The only games I ran into major problems with were Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which didn't use the correct FOV and Widescreenfixer wouldn't work with it, as well as GRID, which wouldn't boot up at all. I also got low memory warnings from Windows when I ran Batman Arkham Asylum and a couple of other games in 3D Surround with 2XAA.

I have everything at high with dof and tess disabled, 4xMSAA (I think, double check later when I get home) at 1680x1050.

With the .21s I averaged around 35-40 fps. With these my fps is a bit higher, but there's stuttering.

my sentiments exactly. I tried just cause 2 in with 3d vision surround and the hit on fps hurts with 3d vision being used. It took 3-4 times the amount of time to get the splash screen to finish loading at 57xx x 1080 rez. mind you, just cause 2 gets a little excessive that way anyhow. I didn't even try playing the game. I am going to fiddle with the rez to see what works at peak performance. One thing to be careful of is that I installed the 258 3d vision full cd with the geforce drivers. Install went fine but there is one hitch. At least for me, I had to lower my refresh from 120hz to 110. Because the 3d vision glases (no, not the lighting or the monitors) started flickering on me at 120hz. Put it at 110 and your fine. Another thing that nvidia should do is partner with cyberlink who has the only hardware accelerated 3d vision dvd software I know is to get it so you can span your movies over the 3 screens. Right now in Nvidia control panel, hdcp and movie playback is turned off when you go to 3d vision surround mode. I am curious if AMD overcame this obstacle yet with eyefinity. Another quirk I found is that if you lower your rez to standard single screen rez while in 3d vision surround, your pc runs much slower with mouse and keyboard response. You may just ask yourself why do that? Some putz is going to do that and not know why. I have had to temporarily uninstall 258 and am about to reinstall because it was so slow that I had go into safe mode and uninstall. That my observations so far.
