I have a spare GT220 1 gb laying around, would that be enough for Phys-x ? Doing a small upgrade next weekend, changing cpu/os/chassi and i'm considering using the 220 for Phys-x.Is it powerful enough and would it make any difference to use it over the built in capabilitys of the 470 ?

I would say a 220 is not too good for physx. Might actually slow performance compared to a 470 even if the 470 is also doing the rendering.

Seems to work pretty good as a phys-x hybrid card alongside ati's 5870 according to this :

Guess ill just have to try it out and check for myself.

But the 5870 has no physx processing capabilities while the 470 does...
Also I think the Core i7 Extreme is also boosting those numbers a good deal.
I guess it's worth a try but I don't see it making a huge difference.
