It's in the market. I haven't tried it on my Droid yet, but people are saying it runs well. Runs $6 I think...

**EDIT** This thread was started due to my fascination that it was possible on a phone (and how far technology has come...I should have said that when I started it. Please make sure there is no discussion relating to anything illegal in this thread, or I will be forced to remove said comments and possibly lock/delete the thread.

i think it is legal as long as you have the original Games CDs.. but still i don't think Sony will be very happy abt it!

I'm not so sure how well that would run though. Seems like the phone would be underpowered for that EMU.

I heard some games run better than others, and older phones need not apply (pre Droid1)...

Here is Crash Bandicoot (or however you spell it) running on a Nexus One...

Other Emulators on Android include Nintendo (original), DS, Sega, mame, etc...

If Final Fantasy 7 could run pretty good on my Droid, I would cryb tears of joy. Is this only on rooted phones?

Good point Magus. I haven't installed it, so I didn't know what is involved. I am going to voluntarily lock this thread...

I still say it's damn amazing that a freaking cell phone can emulate a PS1 though! :D
