is the 128mb geforcefx 5600 (non-ultra) better than a ti4200 and/or ti4600?

Please, explain... I need help choosing between those 3 cards.

It depends what card you have right now.... the 5600 isnt all that fast (ive got one) but its not slow either.... its probably on par with the 4200 most of the time but it CAN pull ahead of the 4600 when AA\AF are enabled.

What card are you using now?

The FX5600 is your best bet. In general its about as fast as a ti4200 in dx8 games, but slower than a ti4600 in dx8 games, however it supports dx9 features, which is the future standard games are going to be programmed for. So I'd go with the FX5600. Plus as mentioned above it takes less of a performance hit with AA/AF...

i have to put a new opinion in here; if possible, try to buy a 5600 ULTRA. it is much faster than the 5600, and will be faster than a 4600 in most circumstances. it comes with faster memory, and a faster core speed, among other things.
