For being cheap LCD monitors, KDS are actually pretty decent. Their RAD-5 model is one of the highest rated 15-inch LCDs. I wouldn't buy one for gaming or professional use, but if wanted an LCD for 2D, word processing, web surfing, etc I would have no problems recommending their displays.

Thx im tryin to find a new monitor b/c i got a 5900 Ultra a couple weeks ago and my monitor is, for the most part, maxed out at 1024*768@60Hz. A LCD panel would be great b/c it would save space but the crt is much cheaper. All im looking for is a monitor that can do 1280*1024@ around 85 to 100hz (if possible)

Refresh rates for LCD monitors aren't an issue as they'll look good regardless of what their "refresh rate" is. Although I have mine set at 75 Hz at 1280x1024 in order to minimize tearing in games.
But there's no LCD monitors I know of, at least in an inexpensive price range, that are capable of what you're asking. If you want 85-100 Hz at 1280, you'd best get a CRT. Lots of 19-inch monitors are capable of at least 85 Hz, some higher. It all depends on your price range.

I have a KDS Avitron CRT that gives an amazing picture compared to my old LG monitor..for LCD your not using this for gaming right?? if so - dont bother..
we have some KDS LCD's at my office, and they aren't bad. Can't really tell the difference between their picture and NEC ones so that's pretty good I guess since I hear NEC is good as well.

I've got a KDS CRT. Other than the black not being black enough, its a great monitor. Does 1600x1200@75hz without much effort
But, at 85 HZ there is considerable blurring

stick with crt for now.......at least i will until lcd's become a lot cheaper, and decent for gaming. apart from the space saved, i really don't see a whole lot of advantage for lcd's over crt's....i guess the picture is sharper, but u gotta use the DVI output or else it looks like absolute ****e.
