Why do you copy-paste your computer specs in every post? Just put it in your sig.

I don't think the 4th is worth it. The actual gains in games will be minimal.

Otherwise, you're probably gonna need a better PSU. Also the cards might work, but some bios editing or flashing might be needed. It was definitely needed in the past, could have changed though.

I wish I had the kind of money that you apparently have.

3x 480 GTX is already insanely powerful. The 4th one won't yield much of an FPS boost.

Bah!

There is absolutely no reason to buy a 4th 480 unless you like playing 3D Mark. And considering the fact that in the past two weeks you've complained about 3 Way SLI and Physx, I don't know why you would even be considering a 4th.

I would like to know which games demand more than one GTX480 if you haven't got Nvidia 3d vision with surround monitors..to go 4 is surely to only gain a bigger E-peen to go with your I7 980x and 12GB RAM.

Italy, you are nonsense. Sheesh, I'm happy with the 1920x1080 performance of a single HD 5830 and a single GTX 460 with lower-grade CPUs (x3 @ 3.5, x4 @ 3.1), but YOU are unsatisfied at that resolution with THREE GTX 480s? Come on. I think you should step back and re-evaluate your priorities.

He didn't ask you to evaluate his life, or buying decisions. He asked if he could. How about some of you hold your tongues and leave room for some of our members experienced in specialist builds comment, like jAk, Darth. You guys never question them, why should you question newer members?

If only there was a mod here... ::bleh::

For this reason right here, emphasis mine.

what saturnotaku said. This is the guy that posted a thread entitled "I think PHYSX is fake (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=153295)" remember?

He's got the absolute best hardware money can buy, and yet he's still not satisfied. If I had a system like his, I would be content with it. Hell if I had half the money that he's got to buy all that hardware, I'd probably just stare at it because of it's awesomeness.

jAkup and Darth never complain, either...

It seems like he's just doing it to show off. Now, it's fine to want to build a hardcore machine for the sake of it, but it's pretty obvious how to proceed if you have unlimited funds -- there's no need to ask for "advice" on how to buy the most expensive/powerful thing out there.

Only in 3DMark Vantage will you see a increase ,even with Tri SLI you only get around 20 to 30% increase .I went to three GTX 470's and it is not that much of a increase in my games ,but I knew that before I got it .You all ready have a dream machine except you don't have a 30" monitor so you can play at 2560x1600.

Adding a fourth card from Gigabyte will work fine with the 3 Zotac.

A 400 Watt with 36+ Amps total,would power a single 480GTX card.
Problem is that you would be hard pressed to find a 400 watt with 6pin and 8pin,but you could use 2x6pin for 8pin and two molex connections to 6pin to supply enough power the card.

Now if your adding a fourth card and have some extra cash and want a good benchmarking computer.

Buy all the water cooling gear.
Buy/make water-chiller for sub ambient/sub zero temptures and some kneaded art eraser or some other forum for insulating board, card, cpu, memory for 24/7 use.
