I'm more a fan of certain players than of certain teams. Since my team was effectively disbanded in the mid-90's (Cleveland Browns) I haven't been able to pledge allegiance to any one team. Yeah, I root for a team every now and again, but... well, you get the picture.

Here's who I'll be following in 2010:

QB: Tony Romo (his play is damn gutsy) and Chad Henne (idk what it is about him, but I really enjoy watching him play), Tom Brady (awesome when he's on fire), B. Favre if he plays
RB: Ricky Williams (STILL has breakaway speed), Marion Barber (brutal!), Laurence Maroney (should play more like Barber this year), Kevin Faulk (A for effort, old man!)
WR: Wes Welker, Julian Edelmann, Tory Holt, Randy Moss, TO, Devin Hester, Miles Austin, Percy Harvin, Sidney Rice
TE: Jason Witten
OL: Doug Free (replacing Flozell Adams)

LB: Michael D. Johnson (Cincy, wow), Ray Lewis
DL/DE: Jared Allen
CB/FS: Nobody comes to mind, I'll edit this later

... So there's my current list, subject to change. Who are you gonna watch for/root for in '10?

I really haven't had the time to do any research on the players (yet), but I do know Joshua Cribbs (KR for Cleveland) will be the one to watch this year. I think he will break a few records for kick returns this year.

Carson Palmer- He was the weapons to lead the NFL in TD's again. Can the god of golden arms return to his former glory?

Sam Bradford- We all know he is going to play at sometime this year. Does this kid have what it takes?

Tebow- Can't wait to see him in some special packages. If they use him right he could be a serious weapon in the red zone.

Micheal Johson- Converted to LB from DE. If you saw the HOF game then you know why everyone in cincy has been talking this kid up for year.

Dez Bryant- My team passed up on him to grab Jermain Gresham (who looked lost in the HOF game... but he hadn't even been signed for a full week yet). This kid could be a special player. If he can come out of the gates running Romo is going to have a killer year.

Tony Romo- He's got a superbowl contender on paper. Lets see if he can shake the monkey off his back in the playoffs.

Chris Johnson- I'm pretty sure I heard him talk about getting 2,500 yards rushing this season. I think the kid is crazy. I see a drop off for him this year. Somewhere in the 1,400-1,600 yard range. I'd love to see him prove me wrong.

T.O.- He's 36 in a 26 year olds game. I think playing in Buffalo really hurt his stats. I'd love to see a 1,000 yard season from the old man.

This is more of a team but the Detroit Lions as a whole- I can really see this team becoming a playoff contender in the next few years. Calvin johnson may seriously be the best wideout in the game today. Hopefully with another year under his belt Stafford will be able to get the ball his way some more.

Mark Sanchez- It's time to see if this kid can play QB at the NFL level. He looked good in the wild card game against my Bengals but they weren't exactly fielding a healthy D by that time. He needs to put up real man numbers this season.
