Well in Rig #2 in sig, I been thinking on this cpu, because I have a 920 CO and really only good up to 3.78GHZ, I was thinking I should get to 4.2-4.3GHZ with the i7930, It will be watercooled On a feser 240 raditor with push pull fan setup with a 655 pump. I was thinking should I do it?, Just am kind of mad that I didn't wait for the DO steeping way back. I just always think about getting A DO, Maybe I will just have to get one so I can put mind to rest.:)

If you're dead set on getting above 4Ghz, that sounds like a good choice.

What are you going to use this rig for?

I tend to agree. Sounds like an expensive upgrade for little gain. But it's your money :)

Not worth the price. If you could sell the 920 on Ebay and make most of it back then buy the 930 from a microcenter if you are near one, it's worth it. Otherwise, no.

I'd say it's worth every penny if you play mostly SC2, if not, it's a complete waste.

Right around there. I saw quite a few on ebay and craigslist for around $120. Worst case, you make half of the new CPU.

Also, I'm in the market for an i7 so PM me if you do sell it. :)

But it's his money. He has the right to spend it the way he wants to.

Well I went to put the 930 in to replace 920, motherboard standing up against the tray and the 920 slipped when I open the lever thats holding it in the socket and bent the motherboard pins bad in a couple places, Damn should of listen to you maverick. Well I'm going to put my rampage 2 in that I had in the closet for a backup, but know the holes are to large for my swiftech to mount because the p6T had the 775, and 1366 mount holes on the motherboard. I'm going to check to see if they have a conversion. Also I have a nb/sb all in one chipset block coming for the rampage 2. Damn this ticks me off, Got water all over in case and on video cards but it's the nonconductive stuff, Clean case out will take my compressor to the video cards to make sure dried off.:(
Here's the kit I got to get now.

Got it up and running A ok put a EK Nb/SB waterblock on this rampage extreme 2 also, It's at 4.2GHZ 1.375 volts But runs cool with this watercooling setup. Got it at a 199 BLCK. I'm going to chill now for a long while everything works good in both of my rigs. :D
