Pop ups?

I don't know what to think about this. I know Mike needs and wants to make money but the pop ups now are killing me. I hate any and all pop ups. Maybe it is just me who got some spy ware but I have been getting pop ups in this forum now. Could some one research this? Hopefully it is just me with some crud on my puter.

I noticed that as well. And it's a full page popup. Annoying... But I have opera. Time to go turn off popups. :)

The Baron said the pop-ups originated from our "Visitors Are Online" script, which generated the following code:

document.write('292');var popunder="http://hop.clickbank.net/?space1/hypnoebook" function loadpopunder(){ win2=window.open(popunder) win2.blur() window.focus() } loadpopunder()


I started using the free script from http://www.fastonlineusers.com/ a few months ago and just finished removing it from all of our pages. Hope that get's rid of the pop-ups.

Cool! I don't begrudge any one making money but I am glad it was just a scripts problem. I'm not happy you had the problem but glad it wasn't a move to pop ups. ;)

That was a option once several months ago and you guys voiced the same concerns, if that ever becomes a possiblity again, we'll let you know first ;)

I didn't figure you needed the extra money but then I thought hey who doesn't want extra money. ;) Then I though no pop up are just evil.

You have Opera? Pah... the safest browser is what I am using right now: Links. Popups and ads are never a problem with Links... maybe because its a text only browser :)

Speaking of Lynx, what's the latest version?

The last one I compiled was like 4-5 years ago - version 2.8.1. or something like that. I compiled it on a Unix shell account I had out in Iowa with the slang library. Made it look like an ANSI BBS! :D
