GSC Game World announces S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - the official sequel to best-selling game series - in development now. A completely new multi-platform technology developed by GSC will make the core of the game.

"After the official sales of the series exceeded 4 million copies worldwide, we had no doubts left to start creating a new big game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe. This will be the next chapter of the mega-popular game players expect from us" - said Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of GSC Game World.

The game is scheduled for release in 2012.

I've seen the stalker movie, requires a lot of patience to appreciate. It carefully uses sound and dialogue to create good atmosphere but it is rather slow. Lot of differences to the game.

After i visited Chernobyl in 2008 after playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R 1 and MW1 i tried to watch the movie the game was partially based on, but i couldnt get into it it started so so so so sloooooow :headexplode:

im sure its good though

The doc's about the real disaster were much more scary, eery and captivating as was going there in real life

and 2 years later i think im ok still despite going though the red forest which read 2000 in a second on the geiger counter on the way back towards Kiev. :zombie6: (it read 500 by the power station)

2012 is to soon, but sooner or later riots will start getting worse and worse world wide.

wonder if there will actually be some new areas this time.
