You may remember my previous comparison chart where I rated the top 5 teams in the NBA for last year. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=145078 .

Turns out, as much as everyone thought I was not "fair" with my comparisons and how I was "wrongly" rating the Cavaliers, I was 100% right again with it. The Cavaliers did terrible, while the Celtics(who everyone thought I was overrating) and the Lakers made it to the finals. It was no surprise that the Cavaliers had the lowest score while the Celtics and Lakers got the highest. I'm going to try my hand again at rating the top 5 teams. I'll include the Cavaliers since I'm sure a lot of you still believe they are contenders :rofl

As before, each player is ranked by individual position. I'm sure I will have people disagree with me(as always). Thus far I've been pretty accurate, so I'm going to stick with what I know.

Yes I know Wade/Bosh/James are all 6's. I feel strongly about Wade and James being a 6. Bosh I was on the fence with. Gasol/Bosh/Dirk are all pretty interchangeable as far as who is better. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. In the end I chose, Bosh. It wouldn't have affected the rankings whoever I chose. Besides, seeing three 6's in a row(666) for the Heat was just fitting.

From the rankings you can see that the Lakers are still rated as the top team, with the Heat and Celtics still following close behind. I believe this season for the Lakers is going to souly depend on Bryant's health. If he is healthy, they'll win another. If he is not, watch out for the Heat(or even Celtics as a close 3rd).

I just realized that with only the three players Bosh/Wade/James together, they rank higher than the entire Cavaliers team. They tie with just two of them! Now that's humor.

your chart is better now that it has and additional possible value, and i think it turned out correctly that LA is the best team and that the Heat and Boston are 2-3. you should add more teams to the list so we can really test how accurately this system predicts outcomes.

I'll actually probably do this. How many teams? I could possibly do a top 10. I think anymore than 10 would become a wash.

I was thinking about creating a comparison with a "what if" Lebron joined the Bulls vs. joining the Heat. I still believe the Bulls were the better team for Lebron, but I won't know until I do the comparisons. I can tell you one thing, I'll rank Rose an easy 6 at the PG position.

Perkins is injured so I would expect Shaq to be center, unless you've heard different.
