Due to request, here are the top 10 NBA Teams compared. As always, ranked by position, best to worst. In hindsight, I would have replaced the Bucks with the Spurs or maybe even the Rockets. I thought they would end up higher ranked, but I guess not. Pretty surprised at the Thunder's outcome. But I guess its not that surprising considering the team really runs on "teamwork" and "hustle" more than skill. Anyway here it is. (updated 11/13/10)

Your Excel skills are off the chain, dawg.
I'm going to get back into the NBA this season and this list gives me a good idea of which teams to keep an eye on. I had no idea that the Bulls are contenders.

I knew it. If the Bulls had James, they would in fact be ranked higher. They still wouldn't be as good as the Lakers, but definitely closer.

Yea the Bulls are going to be pretty damn good this year. They got Boozer, but more importantly Rose and Noah got one year older. They are going to be a team to reckon with. Definitely on par with the Hawks and Celtics. Knocking on the door to Miami.
Again, Perkins is injured, I would expect Shaq to be C and Davis to be 6th man :bleh:

should be interesting to see how they stack up. the thunder seem to be capable of playing above their rank here. and the hawks seem capable of choking theirs away.

Yea, I'm doing best case scenario. Perkins is actually going to be on the sidelines for most of the season. And Shaq isn't going to be C. Jermaine O'neal will be.
Starting Jermaine over Shaq? Hmm, interesting.

Thats what the report says. Now if that is true or not remains to be seen. Shaq's never not started. Personally I would start Shaq ahead of Jermaine. His personality and presence sets a tone that I think can't be replicated at the C.

Bosh is playing like crap. I'm moving him from 1st at power forward spot to 5th or even lower. Extremely disappointing player this year.
Rondo is going to be moved ahead of Rose(but still behind Williams).
I'm probably going to move up Garnet as he's playing his butt off.
As well as a few other moves.

Latest update. As you can see. Its the Lakers and Celtics sitting on top. The Lakers are far above everyone else, but you have to remember this is based on the fact that everyone on the team is healthy. With Bynum out of the lineup, they drop significantly. However, I got to be fair with all teams and assume everyone is 100% healthy.
Biggest drop is obviously the Heat. Bosh went from top power forward, to 6th place. I guess that goes to show how good a mediocre player can look on a very bad team. Bosh is wasted talent. Either way. The Heat are in a 4 way tie for 3rd in the league. I think that's fairly accurate. Who knows, maybe if Bosh shows up one day, they'll rank higher.

I updated the original post comparison. No reason to have the old one there. Unless you guys want me to post it there. I still have it saved.
Biggest change was Bosh dropped from a 10 to a 5. Rondo moved ahead of Rose to the 9 spot. Ray Allen moved ahead of Salmons at 7. Millsap also jumped ahead of Boozer(I know Boozer hasn't played, but Millsap is doing incredible out there).
/facepalm
Shaq is the starting center, Perkins is not even playing because of injuries. Odom is starting, Bynum hasn't played because of injuries.
Okur? Haywood isn't starting. Boozer isn't playing. Why are the Bucks present when the top team, by record, in the NBA, the Hornets, aren't even listed?

Look at the Mavs. Nice work stopping the hornets!

That was a great game :D
There seems to be a fair amount of parity in the early part of this year. Still some awful teams, but on the whole, I am excited for the playoffs this year just based on the first couple of weeks :D

Suns beat LA and Denver in a back to back. Woohoo!

They still suck and aren't going to win the title anytime soon. I guess it's the same kind of pain one would experience divorcing the mother of your new born kid the day after it was born. Oh wait :bleh:

The chart was made at the beginning of the year. So obviously things are going to change. Some players got better, some got worse. Some left town.(hell Williams is still on Jazz)
I'll update it and see how it compares.
