Durant is tearing it up out there. I stand by my comments I said last NBA season, Durant will be the top player in the NBA within 2 years. He's just too good. You guys thought I was crazy when I made that comment. We'll see who's crazy (lee)

What do you expect, he's a Longhorn :bleh:
And contrary to your beliefs, you are not the only person in the world who ever notices talent like this :bleh:
Portland was daft for passing over Durant but he has found the right system with the Thunder and hopefully he can push further in the playoffs with Westbrook at his side.

Durant is good... but please. He BARELY led this team to the gold. It isn't like the dream team or the last Olympic team where they absolutely stomped the competition.
1) Kobe
2) Wade
3) LeBron
4) Durant
That's my list.

4. Dwayne Wade
5. Carmelo Anthony
6. Kobe Bryant
7. Deron Williams
8. Dwight Howard
9. Chris Bosh
10. Brandon Roy
Yes. I think Kobe has dropped to #6 this year.
I know a lot of you Kobe fanbois like to live in the past. I don't doubt Kobe is a great player. He is definitely that. His time has past though. One thing everyone really keeps forgetting is the Kobe is INJURED. He's been injured. He's basically going to stay injured.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kobe is going to drop in PPG by 3 to 5 points per game. I'm thinking he'll be around the 23ish area to be honest. He's got the basketball IQ to still be very good, but he's not top anymore. Nowhere near it.
/ready for the flames from Kobe fans who won't let it go that it is not 2006 anymore.

lol that is the most idiotic list I've ever seen. PPG does not = best player. And Chris Paul as number 3? ROFLMAO what are you smoking? He didn't even play half the season, and even when he did his team didn't do all that well. This year I think he might climb up that list a bit, but at this very moment he is nowhere near number 3. He's got a lot of proving to do.
Being the best player is about one thing and one thing only: winning games. Period. Kobe wins games. He carried the Lakers on his back when they needed it. LeBron did not do that. Durant did not do that. Wade did not do that. Look at fourth quarter performance and Kobe blows it out of the water. Look at playoff performance and Kobe blows it out of the water. Anyone who saw the 2010 playoffs and says the LeBron is the best needs to get their head checked.
And Chris Bosh straight up sucks. He is not worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as LeBron and Wade. He's more like a number 15 or 16 player.
Here is the real top 10 list (judging from the performance of the 2009-2010 season).
1) Kobe
2) LeBron
3) Wade
4) Durant
5) Carmelo
6) Nash
7) Dirk
8) Chris Paul
9) Dwight Howard
10) Brandon Roy
Sorry Deron. You got a straight up ass spank in the playoffs. Better luck next time.
Btw I actually dislike Kobe as a person. I think he's arrogant, and I think he treats people badly. But I have to give props where props are due. Kobe is the best in the NBA.
And Michael Jordan agrees with me btw. I think he knows a little more about the greatest player in the NBA than either one of us.

TygerWoody's doesn't because he doesn't know what he's talking about. He's too busy slobbering over his "Big 3" poster for any kind of rational thought.

Not a big Kobe fan, but I would take him over anyone during crunch time.
I also like how Durant carries himself. He seems like a down to earth guy.

After reviewing my top 10 list, I still stand by it 100%. Lebron, Durant, and Paul are easily the top 3 players in the league. Wade and Anthony 4 and 5. All 5 of these players are better than Kobe. Kobe is 6. Then comes Deron, Dwight, Bosh, and Roy.
Nowitzski is not in my top 10. I would rank Nowitzki about even with Pau Gasol at #11, just missing the list. Followed by Tim Duncan.
I'm not budging at all with my top 10. Its about as good as you are going to see.

So you think Kobe is better than Lebron? Better than Chris Paul? Better than Durant?
Even saying that sounds funny. Kobe , while good, is on his decline.

This declining Kobe has just won the Olympics and been to 3 straight NBA finals, winning 2, coming out of the more competitive Western Conference.
Playing through injuries and playing more games than any of his peers you mentioned, he continued to bring in the silverware, while being more of a facilitator in his team with other players like Artest and Gasol and Odom.
This declining Kobe took fewer shots than is team-mates at the Olympics, where Wade and
Lebron and Melo were supposed to shine, and single-handedly won games for the US with his lock-down defense and his 4th quarter heroics (remember the final?) when these other greater players should have shone.
Usually, you have to wait till a champion is knocked off before taking their crown away (i.e. Rafa taking the crown from Federer). In your case, you are just donating it while the champion is still there which is just daft.
Durant is a great player, Lebron is a great player, Wade is a great player. Kobe is a great champion. To be the best player, you have to show your championship pedigree and right now, Kobe > all comers. Durant though, since he is a Longhorn  is going to make a push with the Thunder.

You're right. Adam Morrison is better than Lebron and Wade. He's got two rings. He's gotta be better.
Fact of the matter is, Kobe couldn't do SQUAT without a ****load of help. Kobe, like Magic Johnson, got blessed with being on the best team in the league and playing with the best players. I'm not taking away from Magic or Kobe, but the fact still remains. Both of them never did anything on their own. Neither has ANY player in history. Even Jordan had a ton of help. Hell, the best season Kobe has ever had, his Lakers didn't even make it to the second round in the playoffs.
I really don't understand the whole "if you have a championship, you must be great". Thats retarded mentality. So you would argue that Bill Russel is the best player of all time? Certainly not. He's not even in the top 25. Best Champion of all time? Definitely.
Stop listening to the media and actually watch a game once and a while. Also about the Olympics, I guess you are forgetting that was TWO YEARS AGO. Kobe has aged and he's injured. I never took props away from Kobe at all for doing all he has while being injured. Its pretty amazing. But it still doesn't prove he's anywhere close to the best. In my opinion. There's Lebron, Durant, and Chris Paul. They are the top 3 in the league and they are WAY ahead of everyone else. Wade is a distant 4th. Carmelo is an even more distant 5th. And Kobe is MAYBE 6th.
Can Kobe fanbois stop living in 2005?

Way to jump off the deepend there.

You are SO right.
It's a pity Bosh, Lebron and Wade don't have any help whatsoever. Hell even poor Durant has scrubs on his team like Westbrook, Green and Harden.

That wasn't my point. Apparently you saw "rings" and decided to go all stupid.
My point was simple. Even with the rest of the guys you have listed as being better than Kobe, Kobe has still outshone them on the same stage, which is why I mentioned the Olympics. He has more passion than those guys and find ways to win. Even with his hand and finger injuries, he has continued to produce and find ways to help his team to win.
Stop listening to the media and actually watch a game once and a while. Also about the Olympics, I guess you are forgetting that was TWO YEARS AGO. Kobe has aged and he's injured.
:wonder:
Lebron and Wade and 'Melo were younger and getting the bulk of the shots. Are you saying their fading away, just like they did in 2004, and having to be bailed out by Kobe taking over in the 4th, time and again, is not symptamatic of a great player?
Yes, he has aged but even then he is only 32. He is hardly over the hill. Duncan is still producing and he's 35/36. The point is, you are throwing around greatness like it is a badge you can donate or take away. My point is, Kobe is STILL great and your arbitrary rankings don't mean squat.

Yep that is YOUR opinion.

Telling others to watch basketball games, while you apparently haven't watched one in the last 3 years for making retarded statements like that :rofl

Seriously Sazar? Not a single one of your replies make a bit of sense. Let me know when your done sucking Kobe's c*ck and want to actually discuss actual NBA Basketball in 2010.
