I'll buy a PDA if they ever make one with a BB chip in it, just 'cause! ;)

Some of you are probably asking why I posted this. After all, it's a PDA chip, and no one here will probably freak out about it.
Well, it's BitBoys, and I haven't had my daily quota of pointing and laughing yet.

Hey...just think of how much fun marble-madness could be on a PDA with great graphics and a motion-sensitive controller..... (Probably a mercury switch...so you could just lean it to roll... ;) )

"I... I... I was so close.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHH!"
"SEDATE HIM! HE'S A TERRORIST!"
The world is coming to an end!!!!! the end is near !!!! retsam...feals the ground and yells "yes hell did freeze over !!!!!" oh my gawd bitboys is going to release something ..... geeeeze what are we going to do for laughs now

I saw a demo of this last year. Pretty impressive. And they are having a seminar regarding 3D in mobile handsets in Assembly '03, so they might do a hardware demo there as well. Unfortunately I wont be attending this year so I can't give you first-hand info :(.
Nemesis77: I'll be there. (Assembly 2003)
But most likely I have no interest posting anything here about the presentation. And couple of reasons why. At first, I have already promised to post about it to MatroxUsers as well as the usual one to Beyond3D forums. Second, Usually, I am quite busy meeting ppl at Assembly, so that takes a lot of time. Third, it seems that no one here is really interested about the real situation. ( or if there is such ppl, they already are using one of sites that i mentioned in first reason. )
and oh... Ati, PowerVR and now Bitboys have their embedded hand held graphics cores, so where's nVidia and SiS??

nVidia's coming, SiS's nowhere to be seen.
And of all of them, really, ATI's solution is the most mediocre IMO. PowerVR's solution sounds pretty good to me, too. I wonder what Series 5 will deliver...

Somehow, I really don't understand why ATI thought that Video acceleration would be important on hand held device. who would like to watch video files with PDA? and for video conferensing with 3g cellular phones... that is a bit too early.
anyways, what comes on battle Acceleon vs. MBX, it is too early say which one is a winner. both have their best sides. for Acceleon (afaik) it's strenghts are power consumption as well as full compliancy with MMS technology on low end devices. on the other hand, PowerVR has technically more advanced high end model. (Vertex Shading and Pixel Shading, while Acceleon G30 (afaik) doesn't have T&L.)
