I don't know what exactly happened, but the subwoofer of my Logitech Z-680's started suddenly behaving like a normal speaker. It plays everything and it's also really loud now. I was thinking of giving the setup to my sister and was wondering, if anyone has any idea, what the problem might be and how hard is it to fix.

Everything else is working fine.

Is it something that could be fixed? Or should I just get some receiver and salvage what I can from the sub?

Did you check to see if your speakers are still set for 5.1? (In windows) Might be trying to input the rear speaker channel into the center / sub channel.

It's definitely the sub. I had it hooked up to my TV, through analog and digital to my PC, still the same problem.

Is there a switch on the sub for the crossover? If so and if it is sent to "out" set it to "IN". Other than that I think it needs repair.

Then only thing I can see is the fuse holder. If it was blown, it wouldn't work at all, right?

Yea, it would be completely without power.

Email Logitech and they will take you through the troubleshooting. If the speaker is k and it's just the pod they might be able to sort you out with a replacement pod.

I would have done that in the first place, but from what I've read, it's a lost battle. They really don't care.
