Not exactly sure what the point of this card was. Seems like it's not much different from the GT 240. Also from the reviews it looks like these little suckers run hot compared to the 240, but it likely depends on what kind of fanspeed and heatsink the card has.

Wow guys. Are you applying your gaming mindset to this card? It's not meant for gaming! And the little bit of gaming that it can do, it's not supposed to blow any socks off. It's for media/home theater PCs.

Want something a bit better in a low-profile slot? Check here (http://www.nvnews.net/).

I was editing and posting news while Mike was editing in the links etc. to his GT 430 front page newspost, and I certainly didn't see anything like that.

Villa is reporting a story with an opinion that was shared by many web sites when high-end GeForce GTX graphics cards debuted.

Actually this card is perfect for gaming- as a PhysX card.

At $80 it's meant to be an upgrade over integrated, no more, no less.

Not much has been said about the GT 440. Apparently because it has been reserved for OEMs only (Why?).

Specs

GPU: GF106 @ 594MHz / 40nm
Shader processors (CUDA cores): 144 @ 1189MHz
Memory: 1.5GB or 3GB of GDDR3 at 800 or 900MHz real speed, 192-bit (oookay?)
TDP: 56 watts
OpenGL 4.1, Direct3D 11, OpenCL 1.1, PhysX, CUDA support
2-way SLI support

Two 440 3GBs watercooled and clocked to the heavens might actually produce some surprising results. :p

It's very questionable though. What percent of OEM computers with budget graphics use SLI??? And why 3GB of vram? It's superior to the GT 240 and 430 though no question about it. In a way it reminds me of little known GTS 240 that was available to OEMs. I think they were basically an 8800 GS
