I'm considering picking one up and hooking it up with a Spitfire and two 6000RPM 120mm Delta fans, push pull.

$560?

Isn't the 580 supposed to be out soon?

If so that seems really steep for a card that's going to be yesterday's news really soon.

You could probably buy a turbine from a small jet that would be quieter than that... ;)

The cooling set up you're looking at will add at least another $100-$125 to your cost. I'd need to see at least 30% gains across the board at stock speeds to spend almost $700.

I'd wait for solid reviews on the 580 or 69xx first, but hey, it's your money. :)

I'm probably going to wait till the 580 is out. If it ends up being not nearly as good as its been hyped to be, I'll pick up a 480 Lightning and OC to 1ghz.

I'd love to see benchmarks at that speed. You're going to have a heck of a card either way.

By the way, that Accelro Xtreme I got - fantastic piece of hardware if you're still considering it. The mounting kits are also available at a few sites now.
