I've been awake for 36 hours or so, most of that has been spent on this review.... :p I might be a little spun out right now, so I might have missed a couple things that I'll have to catch after I get some sleep. :P
Attention: This review will only be on the forums for a limited time. Within a few days it will be relocated to the website itself. If you have any questions about this please contact my or MikeC.

Looks pretty good to me. The Phenom didn't hold the 580 back as much as I would have expected which is nice. What level did you bench BFBC2 on? The results are similar to Anands's with a i7 @ 3.3Ghz

Bravo! :clap2:
Thanks for your review. I will probably be getting a 580 in the upcoming weeks!

Generally speaking, reviewers do keep the hardware they review, as they often put some long hours into writing the articles. Heck, I've been up for about 38 hrs straight, and most of that time was getting the last parts of this review all together and trying (unsuccessfully) to get the review up on our site rather than the forums this morning. I've never put a review up there myself, and I think I need some more help from big Mike on doing that. :p
I think it's time for me to rest now. I'll fix font sizes after I catch some Zs.

Great job on the review rage. :)
I think you should have used a Camero instead of a Mustang.

Seriously though, very thorough. I only wish we had some more cards to compare it to. I'm running a 5850 and would be very curious as to the comparison with AMD.
You did a fine job, Rage.

I'm impressed, hard launch, product is available. Although I do think it's BS that we have to pay 35 bucks over MSRP cause we're canadian. CAD=USD

yea, but at least they allow to pricematch newegg.ca for everything, if it's cheaper.
Boy, they really kept the launch of this one quiet. I didn't expect a release for a while yet. I see we already have them in stock down here in good old New Zealand.
I want to go to New Zealand one day. Back on topic I like what they did with the 580.

You are always welcome. :)
I also like what they have done. I'm amazed how they have upped the clocks and the temps have dropped by quite a large degree with a new cooler. Pretty impressive.

Good job Rage. 1920x1080 is the only res I'm interested in seeing. HD TV's are the only way to game now, IMO. Something about the big screens definitely add to the gaming experience. :D
Nice to see you writing reviews again. Now I see what you mean by saying you were playing with some pretty cool hardware. Nothing sexier than a new high performance piece of PCB board.
Great review of a great card!!!

This is how they should how been made in the frist place.A better cooler so it don'st get so hot and loud, what would make it even better would be to put a 3 fan cooler on them, like gigabytte and MSI and make it fit in a two slot cooler. It makes SLI or TRI run so much cooler and quiter.I still don't see why they don't make a aftermarket Fan cooler for a GTX 470 and GTX480 that just takes up two slots and has has three fans on them so they will be quite.Because The Fermi 470 and 480 is loud as helll when overclocked and the fan fan cranked all thw way,
