So you're saying that the publisher pushed back the shipping date but they didn't tell Valve who is still assuming that it ships on Sept 30th so it'll probably be gold on Sept 13 like projected with some form of demo (probably not "publically" available 'til it's release date or almost release date) will be shown at the Quakecon-thingy on August 20th....

Kewl, so I should be playing the demo on the 22nd or so and the game by the 15th! :D

well valve isnt that dumb, in all his interviews (gabes) they usualy ask "will there be a demo" his reply to all of them "maybe, but it will be after the release"

Valve knows they have hot ****, they arent gonna give any bit of it away for free : (

But, i do feel, that if Valve got in an argument with their publsiher, they could release it via steam (i belive they CAN charge money for steam games)

but i bet that would violate their contract.

Valve is aware of the delay, they just don't say anything officially for good reasons...
