Even if you think 3D TVs are a crap gimmick designed to gouge consumers
(as they're dearer), what greatly admired videogames do you currently think are the most awesome ones to play on a 3D TV (irrespective whether you currently have or don't have one) compared to other games and please say why, for any game/s mentioned.

oblivion is amazing in 3d, after a few tweaks its flawless. Also stalker is scary a hell in 3d when a monster jumps at your face when u don't expect it you will jump outa your underwear.

btw there are many ways to view 3d on regular monitors for cheap, like red blue glasses cost less than 1$ and the driver from nvidia is free and this works on any monitor. Also the shutter glasses method works on any monitor too but u would want 120hz monitor for best results with this method.

Dear Mr. marketing reseach guy,

Though I do not condone the spamming of forums by what in most regards is a bot however I'm sure responses in this thread will help shape and support 3D gaming technologies. Therefore I will put forth my opinion not because I have been duped into it but because it's my opinion and it matters.

First off there are people that have been using LCD shutter glasses and 3D for a hell of a lot longer than most people. People that have supported 3D gaming for long before this boom. I suggest you respect people that use projecters, plainer mirrors, CRTs and their refresh rates. People like to have control over the depth and convergence in games. Games should not have locked convergence ever.

Second games should never be made to be played in 3D only. Even advanced users eyes can strain and if a game isn't good enough to hold its own without 3D it shouldn't have been made in the first place. Do not cap the graphics just so the game can run fast enough in 3D on crap systems.

Third is all the stuff you already know but don't do; effects and objects rendered at the correct depth, water, HUD, crosshair. Options to turn graphic things on and off like games use to have before everyone drank too much fluoride and started calling games numbered fish names.

Played some 3D game demos last night and got eye strain almost instantly. Never using it again. :p
