If your just gaming you would be fine with option 3.

The 6GB triple channel kit would be fine & the extra mhz on the 6GB kit could help with overclocking.

At least answer me this.

Why do you continually spend money on a computer that is about as close to "perfect" as you can get?

I've never known of someone that had that amount of amazing computer hardware in a couple of computers that would constantly change it out simply because they can. You had a system with an i7 980x and 3 GTX 480's. Your secondary system has an i7 920. That is one of the most insane setups that money can buy. I mean, honestly, I have a system that isn't even half as good as your top system was, and I'm completely satisfied with it. I've got a nice CPU cooler, a decent GPU, a half-way decent processor, decent cooling, and a decent monitor. Yet, I see you, and nothing is ever good enough. How is that possible? You have some of the most amazing computer hardware in the world, and you aren't satisfied with it. That's crazy! I wish I had your money. I probably wouldn't spend it on computer parts, though.

I'm glad you found a cooler that meets your expectations. That's absolutely wonderful. :)

Hi Madpistol you did not answer me about my question bcz my question is very very very very clear Thankz.im not benchmark my cpu 980x vs 950 am asking about 3 options of ddr3.:afro:

Your 3 options will yield no difference in performance no matter which kit you get. Therefore, the cheapest (choice 3) is your best option. Unless you are doing some sort of work using photoshop or other high-end 64-bit programs, 12GB of RAM is a waste. The high speed RAM is better for overclocking. (not sure why you need it...)

Option 4: Get an SSD.

If you want your system to boot up quickly and be as responsive as mine, you need an SSD. No amount of fast RAM or fast CPUs will yield better performance on boot-up and general tasks at the desktop, such as browsing the internet, especially if you're still running on a standard 7200 or 10k RPM Hard Drive.

Once again, you're upgrading for no reason at all. If you don't already have an SSD, that would be a wonderful item to get. Here's an insanely expensive one that you might like:

OCZ Colossus LT Series OCZSSD2-1CLSLT1T 3.5" 1TB SSD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227515)

Here's the one I got:

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SSD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227551)

Both of which are absolutely fantastic, but I thought you might like some options.

VERY VERY VERY VERY Thankz Madpistol im not photoshop man jst games and win user and some programme like corel and internet browser but keep in ur mind im playing games in high quality like 32AA and 16AF and ultra setting video options in all games did that options need 12GB of ram.
And im have SSD ADATA S599 128GB READ 280MB / WRITE 270MB SF1200 chipset.
and im changined my cpu from 980X to i7 950 bcz they are no defferance in what i use my pc for it like game in high quality like 32AA and 16AF and ultra setting video options in all games same the FRAPS SAME the performance if one game give me 20fps in 980X they give me 20fps in i7 950 so wher is the defferance between this tow CPU?????
980X is for benchs or some thing like rendering or low quality games that what i see between this tow cpu thankz.
Im waiting your answer and sorry about my english.:)

Just curious italy2010, did you sell the 980X Tri-SLI system and got the new 950 system or do you still own the 980X setup, which was a great computer overall?

I'm trying to follow your logic here ;)

probably doesn't have either.

Ok SLAWTER finaly u say for gaming there is no noticeable difference, especially not when both CPUs are overclocked to the same frequency. But gaming is just one thing.. It depends on how you use your computer.
but i say the games it is all i like in my case so the tow cpu did not do a huge defferance betwen together my be same the performance when i OC the tow cpu to 4.0Ghz and use the pc for ultra high quality in games like ultra detailes 32AA , 16AF .....etc
im goona to buy 12GB 3*4GB 1333 ADATA the ram i love and like it and im goona to OC it.
Thankz comrade.;)
