Hi all,

i did an upgrade of my drivers from 2313 to 2960 on my Linux box. I use RH73, a TNT2 and a Sony G500. I uesd 1600x1200@85Hz. But with the new drivers i'm not able to get better refresh rates then 75 Hz. What's wrong?

The right Modelines are present in XF86-Config, when i switch back to 2313 i get my 85 Hz again.

Can somebody help?

THX

Make sure that the correct XF86Config is used. On some systems there are more than one.
Take a look at the XFree86 log file (is the time of file creation ok?)
and verify which XF86Config was actually read.

I always use 1280x1024, in Linux, but with and Nvidia upgrade, Xfree.log says that my monitor max resolution was only 1280x960.

I solucioned this, adding Option "IgnoreEDID" "true" in my XF86Config file, in Nvidia section.

Look at my Config file, for an example

XF86Config (http://perso.wanadoo.es/autiel/XF86Config)

Perhaps, with that line, driver ommit max resolution and frequency of your monitor
