COD was handed from Infinity Ward over to Sledgehammer. It is going to be a game about space marines. I am not kidding. Check it out:

Intersting, but using the call of duty name for such a game just so it will sell millions of copies is a little lame.

Ha how's that any different from the other games in the series?

This isn't a true FPS btw.
This is just like Halo Wars, its not a true "Halo Game" (As in FPS) and it's more Action Adventure.

Ever since CoD became a primarily MP game, I've lost interest. I know I'd still enjoy the SP side of the games- but not for the $60 they ask for them. $30 would be my limit, for CoD:BO I could see *maybe* $45 cause I'd play the heck out of the Nazi Zombies- absolutely love that on my friend's 360.

I lost interest when they decided to contract to Steam DRM.

I think its been rumoured that we will see future soldiers. Realistically Activision will want to push themselves out a bit and experiement with the franchise and how well it sells. And in the end I think we've had a few in recent times that were more or less modern to a degree.

I personally prefer sci-fi most of the time so I'd be interested to see what they come up with, whether they try to emulate Halo or not.

An empty box with call of duty on the front would sell millions alone.

I stopped buying COD games after COD4 so unless they change the core dynamics of the game (not going to happen when they're making the money they are) - meh.

"Action Adventure" sounds lame, can someone elaborate? what the hell is that exactly? eg?

If only Shattered Horizon was called COD. It will be an instant hit with some innovative gameplay ideas

Viral, imo MW1 and MW2 were the best in the series.

I could see this being a winner if they don't go all out aliens on us. I dunno, maybe think.. Starcraft terran vs terran? yea... lets burn!

I liked WM1, don't get me wrong. I just didn't like the direction MW2 was going and the stupid high price so I passed it up. BO only went further in that direction so naturally I passed up that one also.

I actually dig the scifi elements because so much of the realism in the modern war shooters is terrible.

at least with future weapons and outer space as a scape goat, I can enjoy totally unrealistic combat without getting angry because of silly things like bullet physics and splash damage and magical self healing wounds.
