Can someone give me a reason why these PSU's are so expensive? Their most expensive 1200-watt PSU is nearly TWICE the price of Corsair's AX1200-watt PSU, which is considered one of the most amazing PSU's on the market.

Am I missing something?

Back in the day they were the best and one of the only companies to supply large 1Kw type power supplies, as they provided them originally for servers. They had a premium for that, being one of the first, but they haven't kept with the times, Corsair is better for less money now, IMO.

Didn't they get bought by OCZ?

Yep. I think that's the problem. OCZ is banking on their name, when Corsair now owns the market. It won't last if PCP&C's units don't sell, but as many fanboys that there are that remember PCP&C's legacy, they will always have a following as long as they don't make a bad product. It's such a shame when Corsair seems to be better and cheaper.
